DIY hypermarket OMA, Belarus

We congratulate our partners on the opening of the new “OMA” DIY store in Minsk at 11 Igumensky Trakt, which spans a total area of 1,700 m² and offers a product range of over 60,000 items.

The “OMA” project features 4RM shelving systems, which made it possible to display goods of various sizes—from small fasteners and consumables to large construction products.

Solutions

Integrated shelving

To display large-sized goods, integrated shelving was installed, utilizing the space across the entire height of the room. All shelves in this area are height-adjustable, allowing the system to adapt to changes in the height of product packaging.

Shelving Systems

KM shelving systems were installed, allowing for the organization of merchandise placement with a focus on convenience for both customers and staff, as well as space efficiency. In the central part of the store, island shelving units with end shelving and display units were installed, providing easy access to products and increasing the retail space.

A unique feature of this project was the use of freestanding and end shelving units with shelves just 200 mm deep. These were installed in narrow aisles where standard-sized shelving could not be accommodated. This design allowed for a wide variety of products to be displayed in a minimal amount of space.

Shelving units with perforated metal panels were used, allowing for the secure mounting of accessories and additional components. Wire barriers and shelves with dividers were also employed to separate product categories.

Display baskets with a superstructure allowed for the placement of products at additional sales points, while multibar bars accommodated roll-format products.

Wire spools installed on the shelves proved to be a practical solution.

Accessories and Additional Items

Perforated shelf dividers on some of the shelving ensured effective product sample displays.

Specialized brackets were used for circular saws, ensuring secure fastening and easy customer access to the tools.

The installation of universal baskets on the shelving units provided convenient placement for small items.

Additionally, display units and hooks of various configurations were used for hanging merchandise.

Result

The 4RM team equipped the retail space of a construction supply store with modular shelving and shelving systems, which optimized staff workflow and enhanced the customer experience.
