4RM carried out the comprehensive outfitting and renovation of stores for one of Russia’s largest convenience store chains, Dixy. Our team provided a full range of services for the creation of retail spaces: from the manufacture of equipment to its delivery and installation at the sites.
To organize an effective retail space in Dixie stores, the following were installed:
The island and end shelving units are arranged in a unified layout, creating logical navigation, highlighting product categories, and solving the key challenge of the “convenience store” format: accommodating a wide assortment in a limited space without compromising the comfort and logic of the shopping route.
The checkout area features modern checkout counters and 4RM point-of-sale equipment. Solutions for the checkout area ensure comfortable working conditions for staff and convenience for shoppers, speeding up the service process even during uneven traffic flow. Checkout modules adapt to the specific store layout while maintaining a uniform standard across the entire chain.
To boost seasonal, impulse, and promotional categories, specialized modules are used that allow for flexible display management and enhance the appeal of the product range.
The collaboration between 4RM and Dixy for 2024–2025 made it possible to:
The partnership is structured as an ecosystem model, where one partner is responsible for equipment manufacturing, delivery, installation, and further technological development of the stores.
The next stage of the collaboration is a product recognition pilot based on STEMMA modules. The pilot allows us to evaluate the technology’s performance in a real-world operational environment, adapt it to the “in-store” format, and make a decision regarding further scaling.
As part of the pilot, cameras and sensors capture products, while recognition algorithms match them against system data and transmit the results to the checkout system.
The recognition mechanism is adapted to the real-world conditions of the “at-home” format: limited space and uneven customer flow. The pilot allows for evaluating the technology’s performance in a real operational environment, adapting it to the retailer’s specific needs, and making a decision on further scaling. The effectiveness and quality of performance are assessed based on the pilot results—this approach enables the equipment and software to be tailored to the chain’s requirements.
This marks a shift from a traditional store-fitting project to an ecosystem model, where equipment and digital solutions evolve together.
Belarusian manufacturer 4RM continues to implement innovative solutions, combining international experience with its own developments to create effective retail spaces.
